I found this helpful to know.

http://www.intowindows.com/how-to-reinstall-windows-7-easily-step-by-step-guide/

SIDEBAR: I feel I have taken much from this forum but have contributed little. So I offer a useful hint I have discovered in my Win 7 research. Occasionally I find obscure things that may be helpful to others. Of course, I won’t make a habit of this with everything I find, but only the seemingly meaningful stuff.
The moderators should feel free to delete anything I submit that is too superfluous, redundant, or inappropriate in their opinion; I’m not offended.

Hello Mike,

don’t worry about your contribution to the forum, I am sure that’s what the moderators will say. I think the most important contribution is the presence, it is like sports, the participation is much more important than to win! To belong to a community, to be present. And by the way this forum is a place where I feel well and got many good friends which gave me a lot of god advices. Your link . . . is the best sort of help someone can get. Before deleting I think it would be better to centralize all such things (links) in one place to be found easily when needed. On a place like "Links & Tutorials" for example.

Wish you a happy & healthy new year

Like most people here, I too showed up on TechB's virtual doorstep, hat in hand, seeking wisdom of how to fix what I have messed up so nicely. Just like you're doing here Mike, I wanted to put back a little of what I took out. By searching for answers to other people's problems, I learned a ton of stuff myself (not the least of which was how to search for answers  ) and was hooked from there.

We're here because we enjoy beating our heads on the desk figuring out problems and the odd wise-crack in between. That said, I would think that any useful tutorials short of "50 ways to write your name in the snow (with pictures  )" would be accepted. As for your link, I didn't know that you could initiate a re-install from there, so I learned something new today.

Thanks for that tip Mike. I have enjoyed all of your posts and as far as contributions, no one is keeping score. I feel the same way as you sometimes, in that I have probably taken more than I have given. At least we make the attempt and say thank you, when someone has helped us out. Some people have posted problems, got their advice or answers and never came back and never even said thank you. I have learned a lot from these forums and have met some really nice friends in the process. It is indeed a great community and has been a wonderful success.

Keep them coming Mike.

Cheers and Happy New Year to all.
