Hello friends!
A very long time I only did read, had no problem, no question but times are changing. So do mine. Hope you all are healthy and well.
Have an external USB HDD, IOMEGA 320GB, nothing special. Connecting it to a DELL laptop with W7 64 bit it works fine, is recognized, can read and write on it. Connecting it to a DELL desktop with W7 32 bit I cannot access it, no file manager finds the HDD so I cannot read or write on it. In the device manager it seems to be recognized, here, if connected it appears!? Any idea?
Thanks in advance
Marmos

Hello Marmos
Here are two things to try:
1. Firstly, go to Control Panel > All Control Panel Items > Folder Options > View Tab and make sure there is not a tick in’ Hide empty drives in the Computer folder‘ and further down, confirm that there is a tick in ‘Show drive letters’.
2. Right-click Computer > Manage > Storage > Disk Management, then right-click on the drive that is 'hidden' or ‘unallocated‘ > Change Drive Letter/Paths... > select a letter from nearer the end of the alphabet > OK and the disk should show in Computer. Try another letter if it stays hidden.

Hello Burr,
thanks a lot for your extremely rapid answer!? The second variant worked fine at the first try. Have a nice day and thanks again
